The parents of the child and the surrogates usually sign a legal document to prevent such situation from happening. Surrogates are usually briefed about the legal, physical and emotional implications of carrying another person’s child.
Most times, the surrogate has to forgo any form of relationship with the child after childbirth.
In a case where a surrogate tries to claim the baby back, this will have to be taken to a court of law.
