1) Is there a possibility that a surrogate might want to claim back the baby after giving birth to the baby?
2) Has this happened before and what is the next step to take if such happens?The parents of the child and the surrogates usually sign a legal document to prevent such situation from happening. Surrogates are usually briefed about the legal, physical and emotional implications of carrying another person’s child.
Most times, the surrogate has to forgo any form of relationship with the child after childbirth.In a case where a surrogate tries to claim the baby back, this will have to be taken to a court of law.
