The Importance of Counseling. According to the American Counseling Association “Counseling is a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education and career goals.”
In terms of fertility treatment counseling has a very important role to play. The couples are offered counseling sessions during the treatment process and this helps to evoke transparency between the doctor and the patients. I must emphasize that it’s not a waste of time and resources.Before choosing a stance whether sex selection is wrong or not, we have to look at it from all aspect which includes culturally, spiritually, morally, legally, ethically and other aspect or point of view you might want to base your verdict on.
I’m gonna pick culturally, culturally it’s not wrong because my culture doesn’t go against sex selection. In fact families without a male child often go all the way to get a male child.

Well, nowadays I know people are more aware that infertility is not just a one-party thing, it has gone past pointing fingers at the woman and calling her names. It’s just that in our society when the problem comes from the woman some men tend to make it more pronounced by having another wife or having another child with someone else but in the case when the man has the issue its usually kept like a secret. This my candid opinion.
